En algún momento empecé a aplastar las rotadas y moldearlas hasta forrar tapas de tarros y cajas de Nivea.
Buscando dejar menos huellas al manipularlas usé una tela y buscando sacar brillo empecé a lijar. Mi sorpresa fue enorme cuando encontré que aparecía un efecto mokume. Los colores se van superponiendo en capas muy finas cuando hacemos rotadas, eso lo sabemos las que luego hemos lijado muchas rotadas porque van desapareciendo de la superficie y aflorando los colores de las capas inferiores. Lo sorprendente esta vez era que los colores iban apareciendo con la trama de la tela.

I love the swirl beads and, as the title and the photos tell, this post is about them.
Just one day I started to squish the beads and modeling them to wrap the tops of tins or Nivea boxes.
To avoiding prints of my fingers I use a sheet of fabric but when I sanded the beads.... My big surprise was that I had a mokume effect. When we swirl a bead, the colours are like layers in the land, when you sand the down layer goes further up. The amazing thing is that now the colours followed the pattern of the fabric.
