Buenos días, aquí traigo otra utilidad para las serpentinas que me parece muy bonita por resultado tan sutil que se consigue de una forma tan simple.

Lo primero que haremos es usar la extrusora como ya expliqué aquí para hacer nuestra tira, pero usando el disco con la raya más larga.

We use the extruder to make a strip like here, but the disc has to be the longer we have.

Ahora pasamos por la laminadora la tira que hemos obtenido de la extrusora. Como vemos no crece a lo ancho sino a lo largo.

Cortamos en trocitos y los colocamos formando una lámina, con mucho cuidado porque es extremadamente fina, recuerda que está pasada por el nueve de mi laminadora que es el máximo.

Bruñimos bien con un papel encima para no desplazar la arcilla pero conseguir que nuestras tiras tengan un punto de unión entre ellas y podamos manejar nuestra lámina como un todo.

Lay a paper on the clay and burnish it carefully to get a whole sheet which you will manage easily.

Ponemos sobre una lámina negra en grosor medio, bruñir de nuevo con ayuda de un papel para no estropear el dibujo.

Put it on a black sheet at medium wide and burnish again with the help of a paper in order not distort the pattern.

Ya está lista para usar. Yo he montado dos piezas huecas siguiendo más o menos esta técnica que luego he puesto imán en la trasera y a la nevera. La otra cuenta, se ha hecho forrando una pieza previamente cocida y falta decidir qué hago con ella. 

Ready to use. The square pieces are hollow beads with this technique, magnet at the back, ready for the fridge. The other piece is a solid bead wrapped with the coloured sheet and waiting for I decide how to do with it.

El acabado es lijado y pulido.
