Buenas, aquí traigo el prototipo que hice para las cuentas que llevamos las asistentes al curso de
Jana Roberts. Cada una hizo dos cuentas para sendos collares. Uno se le entrega a la profesora y el otro se sortea entre las participantes.
Hi, here I´ll show you the prototype I made for the beads for the Jana´s workshop. Each assistant made two beads for two necklaces. One for the teacher and the other was raffled.
Es un poco laboriosa porque tiene tres cocciones. Primero se hace la forma inicial con forma de cabuchón o la que se desee y cocemos. Lijamos para igualar y forramos con la primera lámina, en mi caso un degradado/mokume marrón imitación raíz de encina y cocemos. Lijamos y pulimos perfectamente antes de forrar con la lámina negra que va texturizada para contrastrar con el interior y cocemos por tercera vez. Pulimos el interior con mucho cuidado y montamos sobre cordón de caucho.
It was a hard work because it was cooked three times. First we have to shape the cabochon or desired and cook it. Sanded to match and we covered with the first sheet, in my case a skinner blend/mokume imitation oak root and cook it. Now, we´ll sand and polish thoroughly before covered with black sheet, which will be textured to accentuate the effect of the polished inside and cook for the third time. Polish the inside carefully and assemble on a rubber cord.
