Gargantilla sangrante. Bloody choker.

Parece que falta mucho tiempo pero Halloween se nos echa encima y nos pillan con las vendas en el botiquín.

Sooner than later Halloween is here and everybody with the bands into the medical box.

Cada año son carreras arriba y abajo tanto si tienes críos pequeños para disfrazarles e ir a pedir caramelos, como si recibes a los niños en tu casa y te quieres esmerar un poco en la decoración.A última hora, acabo cardándome el pelo, echo unos polvos de talco y me pongo una camiseta rota... La verdad es que después de pintar a 4, 5 o más niños no te quedan ganas ni tiempo de maquillarte.

Por eso este año lo voy a preparar con tiempo y esta gargantilla sangrante se pone en un momento te ahorra horas de trabajo. ¿Os animáis?

Necesitaremos: arcilla roja, arcilla líquida, pinturas al alcohol, estilete, papel y lápiz.

We need: red clay, liquid clay, alcohol inks, X-acto, paper and pencil.

Lo primero que vamos a hacer es dibujar en un papel el contorno de las gotas que luego pasaremos a la arcilla. Mediremos el papel sobre nuestro cuello para ver si nos gusta la longitud, grosor y anchura. Corregiremos sobre el papel hasta que el diseño nos guste.

Hacemos una lámina de color rojo intenso (grosor 2 o 3 en mi Atlas) y pasamos el papel por encima para marcar ligeramente el contorno.

First of all, we´ll draw the pattern of the drops on a paper to transfer the design to the clay. Take care with the measure, long, wide and thickness. Redesign till you like it.

Make a real red sheet (2 or 3 thickness at my Atlas) and put the paper on the clay softly to get the shape.

Levantaremos el papel y, con un cúter bien afilado, recortamos cuidadosamente el contorno. Tampoco pasa nada si nuestro corte no es exactamente el que habíamos diseñado, en realidad el papel será una guía en cuanto a anchura y grosor de los chorretones de sangre, pero luego podemos hacer las variaciones que queramos, el único cuidado que hay que tener es que los chorretones no sean demasiado finos en la parte superior porque se nos pueden romper.

Peel the paper and use the X-acto to cut the pattern carefully. The paper guides you but it isn´t necessary to be very precise, you can make changes, it doesn´t matter. Mixing long and short hanging drops, it´s a good option, take care with the top part, if it is too small the drop will fall.

Levantamos cuidadosamente la arcilla sobrante y ya tenemos nuestra gargantilla base. La ponemos sobre un cuenco para hornearla con forma curva y seguimos las instrucciones del fabricante de la marca que hayamos usado.

Put off the even clay and we have our base choker. Use a bowl to get a curve shape and bake following manufacturer instructions.

Podríamos usarla así en mate, o darle una capa de barniz.

Peeeeero queremos darle más realismo; para ello vamos a usar arcilla líquida y tintas al alcohol, que darán transparencia y brillo a nuestra sangre. Yo he usado los colores Chile pepper y Burro Brown. Mezclamos una gota de cada uno de los colores con un poquito de arcilla líquida.

We could use it right now or barnish, but....

We want a really amazing choker. So we are going to use liquid clay and alcohol inks to get a perfect transparent and bright bloody necklace. Chile pepper and Burro Brown are my colours: One drop each and mix with liquid clay.

No hace falta mezclar demasiado, sólo levemente como se ve en las fotos para que haya variaciones en el color.

Mix but not too much to get uneven color.

Aplicamos cuidadosamente con un palillo sobre nuestra gargantilla ya cocida hasta cubrir toda la superficie.

Apply, with the help of a toothpick, the tinted liquid on the choker to cover the surface.

Horneamos nuevamente sobre una baldosa pero elevando un poco la superficie de arriba para que la arcilla líquida escurra ligeramente hacia la punta de las gotas para dar más realismo a la pieza.

Bake it again on the tile raising the top of the chocker to drain the liquid clay slightly towards the tip of the droplets to give more realism to the piece.

Fijaos bien en las fotos, dentro del horno es posible que se caiga un poquito de arcilla líquida, es normal que escurra, no os preocupéis, aún seguirá quedando encima de la gota suficiente arcilla acumulada que le dará relieve.

Look at the pictures, into the oven the liquid clay slide, that´s OK, it´s remain enought to ger a realistic blood drop.

Justo después de hornear, le damos un toque con la pistola de calor para realzar la transparencia de la arcilla líquida y potenciar el brillo.

Just after baking, use the heat gun to get more transparency and bright.

En las fotos vemos antes y después de poner la arcilla líquida.

Hacemos dos agujeros en los extremos y montamos con un cordón para poder ajustar al cuello de la usuaria y listo.

At the pictures you can see before and after apply the liquid clay.

Make the holes and put the cord.

En esta última foto vemos dos variedades, la de arriba está hecha con una gota de Chile pepper y otra de Burro Brown y la de abajo sólo con dos gotas de Burro Brown.
